As a Registered Nurse for the past twenty-eight years, I worked inpatient oncology, then bedside home hospice. During that time I had the privilege of working with thousands of extraordinary individuals and families facing pivotal crossroads in their lives.
By educating on disease progression, the dying process can have some normality. We empower your rights to make informed choices, whatever they may be, that align with your own unique physical, mental, or spirituals path in life.
Being present with compassion and empathy allows for honest communication. We develop an atmosphere of trust and caring where your voice can be given to difficult situations, hopes, beliefs, and values.
Distressing symptoms are addressed and can be eased through the use of meditation, music, breathwork, Reiki, aromatherapy, or gentle touch among other holistic avenues. Sometimes you may need nothing at all except the caring presence of the doula to feel safe without fear.
Preparation for death requires looking deep inside ourselves. Together we create a sacred space allowing for whatever unfolds. The exploration of your deepest truths and unspoken fears or just allowing that space to envelop you in tranquillity.
Each death I have been present for, made me a better person. For every dying person I sit with and hold their hand, I learn so much more about living. For every family I cry with, I am grateful for Today.
